Events

  • Fall Meeting/Fun Run/Picnic will be held on October 25 and 26, 2008 at Rick and Netties in Mahtowa MN. This is our annual kickoff to the fall training season with low key training. Rigs, carts, scooter and ATV's may be used. Camping is free. Everyone is welcome. Blake Frekking will be our special guest.He will be speaking at 11:00 am on Saturday . We will be having an equipment sale and swap. Attending the fun run is a great way to learn about the dog powered sports if you are a beginner.   • Third Crossing Sled Dog Rendezvous (sprint) will be held on January 24 and 25, 2009 in Frazee, MN. This well established race is always well put on and draws a huge local crowd. The course is great for beginners and pro's alike. The annual chili feed/dance/ awards ceremony wil be held on Saturday night. A great way to start of the 2009 Season. Click here for more information
  • City of Lakes Loppet (skijor) will be held on January 31, 2009 on Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. With Novice, Sport and Pro classes this race is a great venue for all skijoring capabilities. With the uptown finish there is always a big crowd. Click here for more information
  • Walker Race ( the old Bemidji race) will be held on January 31 and February 1, 2009. More information coming soon. As this is a new vendue we appreciate all support.
  • Midwest Skijorers Winter Event (skijor & sprint) held in conjunction with the Han Lake Snowbowl will be held on February 7th, 2009. This is a skijor and 4 dog sprint race. Classes for beginner to Pro. We are hoping to have 2 purebreed classes embedded in the 4 dog sprints. More information will be coming soon.
  • Cross Lake (sprint) will be held on February 28 and March 1, 2009 in Cross Lake, MN. . A great, curvy course adds lots of excitement! More information coming soon.
  • Wolf Track Classic (Mid Distance) will be held on March 1, 2009. For more information click here
  • Snow Flake Skijor/Sprint Classic will be held on March 14 and 15, 2009. More information coming soon. This year end race is always a great way to end the season with a great course and all of your friends in attendance! More information coming soon.


NSSDC COMING TO A SCHOOL NEAR YOU!

If you are interested in having a club member talk at your school please contact our events coordinator by clicking here. We are able to give dryland demonstration  in the spring and fall and sled or skijoring demonstrations during the snowy months.
